Michael Rhodes

Michael is a dedicated and experienced professional who has built a
robust career over 18 years within Children’s Services and Education,
with a particular emphasis on supporting children and young people
with disabilities.
He has built a strong foundation in both frontline social work and
educational support. His career spans residential care, education, and
statutory social work, with a strong focus on children with disabilities.
Most recently, he has worked as a Social Worker within a Children with
Disabilities team, managing complex caseloads involving statutory
assessments, care planning, and court proceedings. His earlier roles
include a Child Support Officer and Disabled Facilities Grant
Coordinator, leading Child in Need interventions and overseeing grant
processes across Children’s Services residential care, classroom
support, and mentoring, all focused on improving outcomes for
children with additional needs. Michael’s practice is underpinned by a
Social Work Degree Apprenticeship, and he brings a deep
understanding of multi-agency working, safeguarding, and inclusive
practice.
