Ameya qualified as a physiotherapist in 2002 and completed his Masters degree from Keele University in 2004. He worked in the private sector with Adult sustaining traumatic and acquired brain injuries with learning disabilities, mental health and orthopaedic injuries before specialising in persistent pain management. He has over 15 years of experience in treatment of neurological, spinal orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions within inpatient and community settings gaining experience with clients at various stages of recovery. These include acute hospital admissions, outpatient and community rehabilitation, medium and low secure settings. Ameya is skilled at assessing needs of the clients in the specialist areas of long term musculoskeletal conditions, complex pain presentation and neurodegenerative conditions in hospital and community settings to ensure that best possible outcomes are achieved for his clients
